While the specific pelt origin is not confirmed for this piece, Akris has historically sourced furs through European auction houses such as Saga Furs in Finland and Kopenhagen Fur, which supply the highest grades of farmed Scandinavian fox known for uniform colour and full nap. The brown tonality suggests either natural cross fox or a piece-dyed silver fox, with pelts let-out in long diagonal strips — a labour-intensive furrier's technique typical for couture-level outerwear of this calibre, allowing the fur to drape fluidly with the coat rather than sit as a rigid panel.

The outer shell, though unconfirmed, is consistent with Akris's signature use of Swiss-milled double-face wool, cashmere, or a wool-silk blend woven at long-standing partner mills in northern Italy and St. Gallen.
